Substantial part of letter, 17 x 12cm, corner stains from tipping in signs on verso, text clear as follows: I shall have some Game from Woodbridge next Wednesday or Thursday which I shall take the liberty of sending you. My son expected some last Week from another quarter which I desired him to send to yoyu but he did not receive it. Note: Joseph Manton (1766 ? 1835) British gunsmith. He innovated sport shooting, improved weapon quality and paved the way for the modern artillery shell. Manton was a sport shooter.
