Text: She thanks her for a cake and for Christmas greetings but explains a delay by referring to her tiredness, presumably because of Parliamentary duties, having been elected in 1929]. I was getting so tired that it was as much as I could do to carry on my work till end of session - now since the House rose on Friday aft[ernoon] I am not doing a blessed thing for 10 days - just being as lazy as I know how to be. She was pleased to see her sister on a London visit, talking over some of our summer's doings. She concludes with a paragraph about her correspondent's mother who is creating anxiety.
